SHOCK OF ALL SHOCKS

I think we all feel a little less magical today.
A brilliant talent and creative tailor--
Alexander McQueen,
may you rest peacefully.

YA BETTA BELIEVE DAT

WHO DAT WHO DAT WHO DAT SAY DEY GONNA BEAT DEM SAINTS?
Ok so that was basically the best Super Bowl ever, and not just because it's the only one I've ever watched. Wearing the black & gold for my home away from home:

After the win, we obviously had to take the party to the next level. Literally. We all climbed into Ben's loft, now dubbed the "party bed". Lots of cheers and hi-fives and cuddling accompanied by simultaneous views of the Manhattan and downtown Brooklyn skylines, because party bed rolls like that.

IT'S THREE-SHIRTS COLD

I dig this outfit because it has a lot of my favorite wardrobe themes running through it--quirky menswear stripey sailor girl.

The RayBans give it just a touch of that 60s beatnik feel I've been into lately.

I have a scarf, the scarf, in my hair. You can just barely see it here.

And these shoes! So darling, I hardly ever wear them, and I have no idea why not. I am an idiot.

I bought them for a steal ($16) maybe a year ago from somewhere totally not fashion savvy; I think it was Sears.

So excited for the weekend. Making 2 more king cakes, reading multiple novels, catching some UV light (it comes in a coffin-like box and I pay for it, what of it? I have to cure my S.A.D.ness somehow), checking out a new apartment possibility, celebrating Allison's birthday, hello Super Bowl Sunday, and finallllllllllllly changing my iPod playlist (o god please). What are you up to?
